Brand-ing has been working with an SEO specialist INBOUND on a client site. By making relatively simple design adjustments to the home and product pages the LBS site’s, the hits increased. All pages that we collectively believed to have the potential to bring in targeted traffic (so service pages, product pages, category pages, home page, etc) were amended to have the following:
– Space for editable text (the more the better. 250 is fine for most pages)
– Editable URL’s, title tags / elements, headers, image alt tags and navigation links (regardless of where they are – could be in the main navigation, footer, in content, etc).
As designers and developers, we were initially reluctant to give a third party access to the back of the site, but it makes complete sense as they they can tweak the content and continually make improvements.
